Feel hungrier day after eating more?

I had 2100 calories yesterday and burned 200, it wasn't a "cheat" because I saved up calories all week to be able to have more on Saturday. I just woke up and I already feel so hungry, does this happen to anyone else? It's annoying because this is how one day of eating a lot of calories turns into 6 months.

Does anyone have any explanation for why I feel hungrier the day after eating more calories than usual, or any advice for how to stay on track today?

Two things that make me hungry - hormones (tom), and anxiety of a test or other stressful even coming up. Another thing, it could be thirst. Did you have a high sodium meal yesterday? Did you drink alcohol that could have dehydrated you?

I have the same. It is almost like you are psychologically expecting the same again and your body is disappointed when it doesn't get it. I am happy on around 1200 a day, but if I have a special occasion that I save up for, the days of saving are easy, but the day after I could eat a scabby horse!

No idea why, but at least it isn't just you!

I don't drink but I had Panera and frozen pizza, which stick out as high sodium but I eat pretty high sodium things anyways. But I'll drink some water anyways and see if that helps. Thanks!

Haha yeah, that's what it seems like. It sucks because I was so excited for all the calories I saved up for and it feels like it's not even worth it if it makes me struggle the day after. It was my first time doing that so I guess it's good to know that it doesn't really work for me

This happens to me as well. If I stick to low calorie days I'm fine, but as soon as I have a day where I eat more than usual I'm hungry as soon as I wake up the next morning and then all day long. Takes me a while to get used to my usual deficit again.

Did you consume more "calorie dense" foods yesterday than normal? Look at your diary and take a look at the carbs you ate yesterday. This is your answer.

You probably have some extra weight on the scale as well from the carbs and sodium and more food in the body/gut.. :)
