OK weird weight gain..HELP!

Hey Guys,
Back story first, I was 42 lbs heavier about 2.5 years ago, got a trainer, started training with him and lost a whole person and in the best shape of my life at 35yrs old. I am 113 lbs, 18% body fat, etc.....I have maintained that for almost a year now. In May, I left my trainer as I got burned out and started to just train on my own.
I took down the regimen and started swimming and just lightly training as I was also injured.
I was able to still maintain my body fat and my weight.
Until this past weekend, I worked out intensively for 2 days on Saturday and then yesterday. MY weight has jumped to 117lbs with 19.8% body fat!!!!!!!!!!! I started a new boxing class and finally was able to run 3 miles again yesterday without pain. So yeah, I haven't been this sore in a LONG TIME. I could understand if I had not been working out at all and had gained the weight and now it feels like I am starting over, but that's not the case, I never stopped working out.
I've read that this could be temporary as is a few days because my muscles are so sore and swollen, I don't know what else it could be. MY diet hasn't changed a bit either.
Any one have any ideas?

If you're using a bio-feedback scale to measure body fat, note that they aren't entirely accurate. Most likely you're retaining water weight due to the intense workouts on Saturday. Any increase of activity that pushes the muscles, even if you're already working out, can cause the body to hold onto more water.1

Ok, I had a feeling it was water as well, I guess I have never been in a habit to weigh myself in the mornings, as I have been a little paranoid since I left my trainer. I don't use the body fat as a accurate number, more so just to compare it to itself everyday, I know it's not totally accurate. I know this is the hardest workout I have done in about 5 weeks. How long does this usually last? I am thinking I should do a recovery run and stretch and foam roll today?0

It should go down within 48 hours [that's the maximum recovery time needed for worn out and injured muscles].0

the exact same thing happened to me when i added wt training into the mix! i gained a few pounds and actually thought i was pregnant!! LOL!! things over the week settled back down. back to my normal range!1

You answered your own question! I'm surprised that in all this time of tracking you've never had fluctuations before! That's amazing.3

Thank you!! I never used to weight myself this much since my trainer kept me on such a regimen. Then the last 6 months, i never fluctuated more than a pound here and there, so I was shocked to see it go up like this overnight!
