Eating healthier does not equal weight loss. You need to consume less calories than your body burns. Weigh all solids on a food scale, never use cups/spoons for anything other than liquids. What type of health problem do you have? I have MS, so I cannot exercise, but I can still lose weight just fine.1

i have polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). basically...i get multiple cysts on my ovaries and sometimes they burst leaving me in unbearable pain. my body produces too much sugar and it doesnt know what too do with the sugar so its storing it as fat. i need too take Metformin (500mg) 3x a day just after meals.
i can lose say 3lb but then end up putting 2lb on or something on.
my calorie goal on here was set at 1740 a day but i still had over 800 calories left so ive reduced it too 1500 and i burn nearly 500 calories or more when i exercise0 -
I just found out I have PCOS too and I have no idea what I'm suppose to do either. Gyno suggested not to skip meals, eat every couple hours and keep my blood sugar levels normal. I work shift work and it's nearly impossible sometimes, so I thought I'd try this app to at least pay attention to what I'm eating. If you get any other tips that could possibly help me out too, lemme know if you can :-) and good luck!0

its horrible having pcos, i only found out about march last year. do you take metformin for it?0

Maybe you should get a referral to a dietitian.
I know from personal experience, however, that most women with PCOS deal with insulin resistance and so controlling overall carb intake is imperative. Most do really well with a low-carb type of style as well as tracking calories.0 -
thanks for that, ive tried lowering my carb intake but half of my kitchen cupboards etc has carb based foods in them haha0

No. The Dr never said anything about it. I was actually just looking it up online. I only found out last month, so I'm gonna try to do this on my own before taking medicine. Are you taking it??0
