How many calories are you burning a day from exercise?

I wear an Apple Watch and I burn on average 350-650 a day (active calories). Is my calorie burn good?

Assuming "active cal" are calories burned from exercise?

That, to me, is a good amount. It kinda depends on what your overall health/exercise goals are, though, and what your normal daily caloric intake is, as well.

For context: this app states that I burn approx 220 cal for 20 min at a pace of 10 min mile.
Add to that 45-60 min weight training so 150-200 cal (again from this app)
Total of 420 ish cal burned for my workouts.

Depends. Simply walking for an hour at a 15 min per mile pace I burn just over 400. If I add in strength training that is usually another 150 or so. I play A LOT of tennis and 3-4 hour sessions are anywhere from 800 to over 1400, depending on singles, doubles, and intensity.

Doing normal stuff aka not sitting on my butt all day, I burn about 600 calories. When I do deliberate exercise, it's an additional 250-300 calories.

I generally burn 400 or more per day, it depends on how much time i have to dedicate to exercise.

Keep in mind that you don't need to exercise to lose weight. Exercise is for health benefits and will give you extra calories to eat.

I run every other day, year round. In the Summer when there are no races and it's as hot as Hades, I run 3-4 miles. In the Fall and Winter it will go up to as much as 8 miles on weekdays and 13 miles on weekends and then taper back down to 3-4 miles over the Spring. I average about 100 calories per mile when I run so I eat much less in the summer than I do in the winter. I lift weights on the weekdays between my runs. I burn a few calories doing that but don't really count it. It does, however, give me the benefit of a higher overall calorie burn since I've increased my lean muscle mass.

A 350-500 calorie expenditure from a 45-60 minute session is pretty typical for a few friends who work out at my gym, so I'd say that your calorie burn is right in line.

As others mentioned above, exercise is for improving health and calorie consumption dictates weight loss.

At the moment, I'm a good example of how calorie burn alone doesn't make you melt away to nothing. I'm in the highest volume training block before my next race, so I'm burning between 1500-2000 calories on each of my weekend workouts and roughly 800-1000 on the 2 per day sessions during the week. Single weekday sessions ave 400-500. (My calorie burn data from swim, bike and run sessions is captured by my Polar HRM, not from MFP).

Having said that, my weight has only dropped slightly over the last 8 weeks, since my appetite is huge right now and I need the calories to fuel the longer workouts.

Anywhere from about 300 to 3000 ... depending on the day of the week. :)

For an hour exercise for me - anything between 250-500. However, the exercise I always suspect does me more "good" in terms of strengthening and improving the shape of my body are those which seem to register the lowest calorie burn! (Think weights and ballet barre). I think the only reason I do explicit cardio these days is to get a kick out of seeing the calorie numbers tick up. Pathetic really.

Good is relative. It's all about your own goals.

You can acheive a good level of fitness and cardiovascular health with half an hour daily of moderate exercise. If you planned on running a marathon or winning the Crossfit Games it would be a different story! Don't worry too much about comparing yourself to others as we all have different reasons for exercising.

In July my daily exercise calories varied from zero to 3169. Daily average 671.

I don't log my walking so quite a few of my zero days weren't really zero.

It was a really big cycling month with 37 hours in the saddle (a variety of bikes/saddles), also 8 hours of strength training in the gym.
Was it a "good" burn? It was really enjoyable and set a load of PR's so yes, in those senses it was very good.

(I'm maintaining my weight so that's not a factor.)

IDK as I doubt my Fitbit is very accurate, but it would vary greatly. Some days I may only walk for 30 min or so, others I may spend all day with the chainsaw and maul cutting up a downed tree and stacking the chopped wood, others I may weed eat for several hours and go for hike, others my only exercise would be Wii games and basketball with the grandkids...

750 average of recorded exercise using fitness tracker (walking/running/indoor cardio). I use a HRM when I'm doing anything except walking (HRM I don't find accurate during low intensity exercise like walking).

What I have a hard time with is figuring out my "NEAT". Have a hard time determining if I'm "sedentary" or "lightly active" OUTSIDE of recorded activities. Its likely another 150-250/day for that depending on the day.

Today I rode my bike to and from the gym (9 km total) and had a personal training session with strength training and very little rest between exercises (1 hour). According to my Apple Watch I burned 477 active calories. I find my watch is much more conservative when estimating calorie burn vs the spin bike or treadmill at my gym and I'm totally ok with that.

    Average of ~844 kcal/day over the last 218 days with max of ~4,100 kcal/day (4,246 kj/day)

Based on 125 rides this year expending 165,152 kj (4,334 miles over 256 hours with 125,444' elevation gain) which roughly equals an average of 757 kj per day or 731 kcal per day, plus roughly 4 walks per week at around 200 kcal per walk, 24,800 kcal to date or roughly 113 kcal/day.

According to my Fitbit average, I burn around 130 calories from walking, and an extra 410 from weight lifting daily [not counting my rest day]. So from 130-540 calories a day.

Depends on my exercise. my lunch walk is 150-220 calories. When I go road biking it's anywhere from 650-2200, when I go mountain biking it's anywhere from 850-1200.

Granted I do not go cycling every day. Day in and day out I average about 8,500 steps a day and burn ~385 calories.

600-1000 on average. That's why I get to eat more too.

Wow, people are posting some really crazy daily calories burned numbers!

I use a HRM and usually burn 250-270 cals in 30 mins on the stationary bike at 20-22mph or doing 5k meters in 25mins on a rower. Guess I could burn more doing more but I'm pretty much toast doing that.

Fortunately, I am able to consistently lose/maintain weight on a 2000/2250 cals (net 1750/2000 net) cal/day diet. So, 250 cal/day is all I need to burn.

Can't imagine what I'd look like or how much I'd have to eat to make up the loss, if I burned +1k cals/day. That's just crazy!!!

300 - 500 is about right for me these days. I used to burn a lot more when I was working out more often, but the dog days of summer have made me a little lazy apparently...heh.

According to my Polar watch, my average daily calorie burn is anywhere from 2300 - 2500, and my deficit is 250 at this point for .5 lb/wk.

On my Apple Watch, my average is 480.
I usually get 175-225 from P90 then credit for other "active" times of the day mostly walking. If I have my early morning strength routine, a half hour walk mid day, and then 2 mile run at night, I'll have 1100 "active" burn according to my watch.
