BMR Numbers correct?

I currently weigh 180.
I'm 6'1" and I'm 35 years old.
I'm currently doing Insanity.
I'm getting a figure around 2400 calories. Does this sound right for weight loss?
30% carbs 50% protein and 20% fat

It does sound alot of calories for someone of a reasonably healthy weight for your height but if your very active then not so sure. Hopefully someone else can answer your question, I.didnt wanna read and run. I am 5'11, 29lbs heavier than you and I would gain on 2400 cals but im not active at all.0

Is 2400 your BMR or what insanity suggests you eat? Sounds high for bmr, but about right for calories?0

So insanity is a 1 hour cardio / callisthenics programme right? How often are you doing it
Is this a number you're getting from MFP after putting in your stats and activity level? That's NEAT (not BMR) I assume with your stats you've chosen a highly active activity rate ...are you? Are you a labourer or similar?
Or you may have made a mistake....have you include insanity in your activity level? You shouldn't ..that's purposeful exercise that you add back when you do it and eat on top0 -
2400 isn't your BMR but it does sound like the number of calories a tall person like yourself could eat and still lose (e.g my husband is similar height and a bit heavier and he maintains eating around 3000, if he wanted to lose he would lose 1lb a week eating 2400-2500 cals). Give it a go and see, it takes a few weeks to find out your true numbers and what calories you can eat to lose.0

insanity has an eating plan and gives you a formula to calculate how many cals you need... sounds like its that to me.1 -
It's the formula Insanity gives you to figure out how many calories you should be eating to lose weight. 2400 was the number I ended up with. I've adjusted my macronutrient ratios so they are a bit more manageable. 45/25/30 I'm doing Insanity (I've done it before and lost 60 lbs. It's just been a while so I'm starting from scratch.)
I want to lose relatively fast because I have a "deadline" for at least a few pounds. I know there's no way to guarantee that, but it helps me stay motivated to think I can. If there's anything I need to adjust with my macronutrient ratios, let me know. I watched a youtube video that had protein at 50% and that seemed insane.0 -
you'll lose weight quicker as you're low carb, so you'll lose water weight.0

That's not BMR
That's a cut from TDEE
That's my maintenance level, I'm pretty sure with your stats you will lose at that1 -
I'm a 36 year old woman who does max30 about 5 days a week and gets 8-10k steps daily. My BMR is calculated as around 1500 and TDEE at 2000-2100 with standard formulas. Your numbers sound right for TDEE if you have no other health issues. Insanity is a really fun work out too that kicks your butt.
I know my numbers are wrong due to health issues, BMR closer to 1300 and TDEE closer to 1850.0 -

That's my maintenance level, I'm pretty sure with your stats you will lose at that

So, working on trying to meet this goal.. not doing too great so far. 2400 is really hard to do when you're not eating a bunch of carbs and junk food. I seem to be mowing through the fat faster than I'd like. I still have over a 1000 calories to go for today. What are some foods that have high calorie count and high protein count but that don't drive up the fat. I would follow the insanity meal plan but it's a bit on the pricey side for what you'd need.0
