DC comics are what I read... but I'll be damned if they aren't ruining the movies.
*ETA: For me, anyway.1 -
Someone said this in the comments of a review, and it nails the difference between Marvel and DC movies:
"Every time I hear about a Marvel movie, i wonder if this will be the bad one.
Every time I hear about a DC movie, I wonder if this will be the good one."1 -

That's been my feels on the subject as well. I definitely think Marvel could do better, but it least they aren't doing badly.
DC, on the other hand, seems to have no idea what makes their IP's great and the movies just seem to be tangentially related to anything I could even call those characters.1 -
I want to cry every time I see the DC movies reviews. Will still probably go see Suicide Squad though, and waiting for Batman VS Superman to be available on Redbox.
So many people hating on Rotten Tomatoes and critics for not liking the DC movies though... but for what it's worth, I liked Man of Steel much better than Iron Man 2 or the Incredible Hulk.0 -

I thought this was a political thread about Washington DC. Too bad I love a good political debate.
Carry on Go Wonder Woman!0 -
suicide squad will be wicked & justice league will be amazing
wonder woman will be perfect
the only marvel movie i didnt turn off half way through was deadpool every other one has been terrible0 -
DC can't Marvel0

Man of Steel was good. Iron Man 2 has been the worst of the series and the Incredible Hulk series got ruined by the first one. 2nd one wasn't that bad and I liked Edward Norton, but prefer the current Mark Ruffalo as Banner.I want to cry every time I see the DC movies reviews. Suicide Squad was good, not great. It's a must see if you're a comic book fan, but the story line could have been much better. Harley stole the show though.

I kept thinking to myself during the movie "dang, this girl is so bad *kitten*".Sugar_Pill wrote: »Karb_Kween wrote: »DC can't Marvel
Thank god!
I appreciate DC for making the red headed step child of "superhero" movies.
I truly enjoyed Squad- and niner, you're right- Margot was an absolute star.

Redheaded stepchild movies?
I'm sure the origins of that expression are probably anti-irish (what "ism" is that?), but it's just an expression that means they are no one's first pick and not the one getting resources/attention.0 -

No that's not what I was asking about
I'm pretty sure Superman in the 80's and it's sequels were Blockbuster successes as well as the Batman franchise up until the late 90's

I grew up a big DC fan and have really wanted to see their movies do well. Unfortunately, they seem to be lagging Marvel really badly right now. I've enjoyed nearly all of the Marvel movies and love the fact that they seem to have an overarching plan to their movies. DC seems to be getting on board with that now. Was out of town all last week so haven't seen Suicide Squad yet. Hopefully soon! Also have the ultimate edition of BvS at home that I still need to watch.0

1) because of the suit- and in case anyone who saw squad missed it: SPOILER ALERT- Jason Todds killer is listed as Harley Quinn.
Jokes on all of us.
& 2) Redhood.
You know there's a spoiler button right0
