Yes, it is possible to have too much water. Let me see if I can find numbers.0

here's an article of a woman who died of water intoxication. it's called hydro-something...just read about it on a different article about foods you can overdose on. water was one of them!0 -
It's rare to die from to much water. I drank about 216 oz's in a 10 hour period. I drink 1 glass ever half hour or try to.0

Like she said, yes it is definately possible.. i work in a hospital and have seen patients with a "fluid overload". It isnt good for your heart or lungs. I dont think youre supposed to go over like 100fl oz a day..0 -

I think it's more of a danger if you "binge drink" the water like this woman did, a lot all at once. That's such a tragic story.
I think if you spread it out all day, you should be fine. Just make plenty of trips to the bathroom.0 -
It depends on how fast you drink it...actually. You can't have too much water if you are drinking it through out the day. My doctor did tell me once that we only require half of our weight in ounces of water daily and anything else we drink is excess which helps flush out things such as fat...but!!! it can also flush out the good stuff like vitamins and minerals. One of things that you need to find what works for you and what seems comfortable to you. I know that on days that I workout intensely I can easily drink around 200 oz. On easier days it's more like 100 oz. I have read that if you feel thirsty...you have waited too long and your body starts the dehydration process so it's best to continually sip through out the day. Great job on the water! I love aqua...I drink nothing else.0

hyponatremia --- when you drink too much water your sodium levels can drop too low to maintain normal body function. It is usually the result of drinking too much water and failing to eat.
BUT --- you seem to be okay......
To determine your baseline range for water requirement, use the following formula:
Low end of range= Body weight (lbs) x 0.5 = (ounces of fluid/day)
High end of range=Body weight (lbs) x 1 = (ounces of fluid/day)0 -
I have a real hard time getting my water in! For one reason, I had bariatric surgery and we can't have anything to drink with our meals which is rough. Then we have to wait 45 minutes afterwards to drink anything. I have to struggle to get my 64 oz. in.
When you are drinking protein, do you count those oz too?0
