Weightloss off to a good start

Just wondering what has gotten others weight loss off to a good start? I was encouraged to get a food scale which I have. I also exercise about 5-7 days a week. And am staying under my calorie goal but have only lost about 8-10 in a month and a half. MFP gives me a number that is 20lbs less than what I am now for a 5 week prediction if I continue at the rate I am going with food and exercise, but not sure how I will ever get there! Any stories or suggestions are appreciative.

Drink more water!! MFP recommends 8 cups a day but realistically drinking 12+ cups a day saw a huge loss (4 inches around my waist) in one week for me.1

Wow good job! Just keep it going and be patient
weight loss is not linear meaning it could go up and down depending on what you ate/drank that day but overall it should decrease in the long run. As for me the first 8 pounds came off super fast but now I'm having a hard time with the last 5. Now that I weigh less there's less weight to lose therefore progress is slow! I'm just going to keep eating at a deficit and working out. Good luck

8-10 pounds is already good! Don't know if you are eating back the calories from exercise. Maybe you have a little bit of wiggle room there?
