From one fat girl to another

Hi there! Names Labreise, I go by Bre. I've struggled with my weight my entire life! When I was a kid I stayed over at my grandmas alot. My grandma was over weight and loved to splurge on junk food. I thought that eating style was OK. I loved food! And I was to young to understand about foods, calories and such. I saw my grandma and other family members eating it so I thought it was OK. I became a pudgy kid. As a teen I was over weight. I tried to eat healthy, stay active and play sports. I was thinner than I am now but I wasn't skinny. I tried to watch what I ate, how much I ate and stayed active. As a teen it's so hard, u see ur friends eating what they want, going out to the movies and munching on candy and they had that coke bottle figure. I did not. As a teen I was over weight. I'm an adult now, 23 years of age. I'm starting my life on my own. I have an amazing fiance who supports everything I do. We want to try and have a baby in the next couple of years. Recently I found out I have type 2 diabetes and hypothyroidism. Along with the medications I will soon be on, I want to change my life and take control of my body. I'm tired of looking in the mirror and not liking what I see. I'm tired of struggling with infertility due to weight and conditions induced by weight. I'm tired of going to the clothing shops and not finding the things I like to wear in my size. This is my life and I will not let my weight rule it any longer. So from one fat girl to another let's kick this unhealthy weights *kitten*!

I was just recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I too have struggled with my weight on and off. Beofre I had my daughter two years ago, I was working out vigorously and was eating low carb and was shedding weight. However, after I had her, I have had difficulty resuming that lifestyle and now have diabetes. I need to get this 25 lbs off, plus some more, that I have gained. I do not want to ends up with severe issues related to diabetes. Feel free to add me as a friend!0
