Opening day of Men's Volleyball and the US loses. Swept no less. OH Canada.

    Lol, you cared enough to comment in the thread. ;)

    Whether you care for a sport or not, it's great to see people who've practiced and worked hard for 4 years to get to a stage where many will NEVER set foot on or even see in their lifetime. Tell Olympians that their sport sucks.

    I was watching the live telecast yesterday and astonished by how poorly the US played. Maybe it was the first olympics game jitters and hoping for a bounceback!

    That was a tough loss. Canada definitely had to earn that one.

    I think it was Canada's first time playing Olympic Volleyball in 24 years.
    So clearly we have worked hard on our volleyball program and wanted to show we deserve to be there. :)

    they've not only practiced and trained for 4 years...more like a lifetime of devotion.
    I was watching the swimming last night and they were saying about how a Canadian girl who won a silver medal had been turned away from club after club and now look, she's not only an Olympian but an Olympic silver medalist.
