Hi there!
My name is Mickale and I have been lurking around for about a week now and thought I should introduce myself. I am a middle school teacher, happily married with 3 furbabies.
My weight-loss/fitness journey
My weight has always been an issue as far back as middle school. I can recall one of my friends telling me (during one of those middle school fights), "you just wear your belt tight so it sucks in your stomach!" She was right. In high school my mom decided the family was going vegan. WIthin a few months I had lost 10 lbs and put on a size 8 for the first time ever. Then college. First semester I LOST weight and got into a size 4. It wasn't to last. Soon after I ended up in a controlling, depressing relationship and gained it all back plus some. Things stayed that way for a few years. After college I returned home and began my journey. I started with Turbo Jam. My sister in law had bought it and shared it with us. I toned up, lost the weight, got back into a size 6 and met my husband-to-be. That was in 2005. We married in 2007 and I ballooned up to a size 14. I was miserable at 170 lbs and my health was beginning to fail. I would try to workout and only make it a few weeks before I quit.
Finally a coworker and his wife took me under their wing and began coaching me on nutrition and whole body cellular cleansing. Within a few months I had lost 20 lbs and was doing workouts like P90X. My health took a turn for the better and I have been passionate about helping others do the same things. Now I'm more intense than ever to lose the last 25 lbs (or more) and be in the best shape of my life.
