Talking with a friend the other day about a few complaints, as we girls do!! And she suggested I get my B12 checked.
Iv been a veggie for 25 years now and never thought about my B12 at all.
Any suggestions on how I can increase it in my diet? Oh I do like marmite

Just take a sublingual supplement.2

Milk, yogurt and cheese, along with eggs, are the only vegetarian food items that naturally contain significant levels of vitamin B12. Plant foods may be fortified with B12. These include rice and soy beverages, plant- derived meat analogs, ready-to-eat breakfast cereals, and nutritional yeast.1

Get it checked before you do anything. It's available in lots of OTC forms, but most people don't actually need it. The B-complex vitamins are added to most grain based foods in the U.S because we take them out when we bleach our wheat and rice.0

I had mine checked and started taking B12 in a pill form, it did nothing for my levels, so I did shots. This did the trick, but I was not good about going to get the shots regularly. Someone told me to try the sublingual and it has be back to a healthy range.1 -
Remember, some people don't take the right form of B12 so they don't take enough. All studies show 14 - 64 yrs needs 2.4 µg (mcg) a day which needs to come from cyanocobalamin when in pill form. I started taking 1000 mcg a week and will see how that does.1
