I took them for about 5 months and nothing happened for me. Was also taking them with green coffee bean extract.. and it just was a waste of $40, in my opinion.1

Raspberry Ketones were the only diet fad I've ever tried. All I did was burp raspberries for 2 hrs every morning.4
-
haha well ive got high strength ones- the same as my friends and they have worked great for her but obviously following a diet and exercise routine aswell0
-
Then you can be certain it's the diet and exercise that worked.18

I recommend you have more faith in yourself and less in the fake diet pills. You lost weight because you put some effort into diet and exercise. Well done!
The pills made your wallet lighter. You don't need them.4 -
They do nothing. Literally. Nothing.4

its just i find it really hard too lose weight. im not even having 1500calories a day, im taking my dog out for a quick walk during the day and then for about an hour on a night (unless im in pain with my back or my ovaries as i have PCOS), i go on the wii and do biggest loser workouts and stuff but i still lose about 3lbs and then put 2 or whatever back on and its just doing my head in0

What does your doc suggest as an approach to managing your PCOS? Many women find that either reducing their carbs, or reducing the amount of refined carbohydrates helps with both symptoms and weight loss.
Raspberry ketones do nothing, as others have said.3 -
well im waiting for an ultrasound appointment coming through so they can see how small/big my cysts are but they have just said too take metformin tablets 3x a day straight after meals and thats it0

That sounds great. You're working on tackling a major obstacle. Ask your doc for some dietary guidance or a referral to a dietitian. In the meantime, try to be patient. Weight loss isn't a race, and there are no shortcuts, no matter what Dr. Oz and the women's magazines tell you. It may be a while before you can make real progress, but with the right treatment, advice and persistence, it will come.2 -

Raspberry Ketones are a gimmick. Plain and simple. It wasn't the capsules that worked for your friend, it was the diet and exercise. Are you positive you're staying in your calorie range? Are you weighing everything, even prepackaged foods? You will find HUGE caloric discrepancies once you start weighing everything out.
Also, with PCOS, do NOT take over the counter supplements without first getting it approved by your doctor. It can do much more harm than good. Please talk to your doctor about a referral to a dietitian who specializes in nutrition for PCOS sufferers.4 -
i see someone every month about my weight etc under the psychology department at the hospital where i live. im only seeing him because i want to go in for the gastric band and i log every little tiny thing on here and i still have calories left even if i havent exercised but with my body, i could do 1 hour of cardio exercises but it wont show on the scales until 2 days later or something0

I totally get it...I used to have PCOS but had an emergency hysterectomy after a very dangerous pregnancy/childbirth...and I have other autoimmune issues that make my body react much different than the average person. Talking to someone is great, but you need to be having these conversations with someone who can give you a good meal/diet plan (dietitian)...if this doctor you are seeing in the psychology department is one you trust, ask them for a referral to a nutrition specialist.2 -
Raspberry ketones work very well for the people selling them.2
-
well im going too 4 group meetings as i have too go too them before i get the band in anyway and they talk about portion sizes, carbs etc, diet plans and everything else0

Results are never immediate or linear.
Do you weight everything you eat on a food scale? If not, you may be eating more than you think without realizing it.2 -
Just remember PCOS is all about hormones and insulin resistance, so taking of these fake diet pill miracles can actually sometimes hurt you in the end. I too have PCOS and unfortunately you will find your weight loss journey takes longer than the average women but it is possible. As someone suggested above, carbs and sugar are a big part of it, you can still have them but I try to limit my carbs to no more than 100 to 120 a day max and I don't go over the recommend 45 grams of sugar a day as I find if I do it just causes wicked cravings (which I am told can be part of PCOS). I am lucky my PCOS is mild, but I also have no thyroid, you will find that there are a lot of women on here with more severe PCOS symptoms that only had luck when they really limited their carbs.0

I've a low thyroid, I know it's not the same condition but low carb works wonderfully for me. Raspberry ketones are completely and totally useless. I mean 100% useless. If your friend lost weight it wasn't down to them. I actually can't believe that scam is still going.
I echo what someone else said about getting a proper nutrition plan from your doc - maybe change what you're getting your calories from. Also, maybe add weights or HIIT into your routine, little walks every day are useful but if it's not working you need to shake it up a bit x You do not look like you need a gastric band, it seems extreme unless you've tried every single other option.0 -
ive tried weight watchers, slimming world, my own sort of diet with no junkfood, hardly no high fats/sugars drinking only water, going too the gym etc but it just wont shift. i weigh most things using scales but i need some better ones.
i could lose 3lb but then put it back on and sometimes more within a week and thats eating the same/similar food and doing the same amount of exercise.
i dont have any biscuits, chocolate, cakes etc as me and my partner have cut them out completely, i dont have any type of pastry based foods, i dont drink anything that has loads of sugar in it (only diet coke-maybe 3 330ml cans a day or not even that, water and diluted pop).
i have either veg or fruit and meat with every meal and sometimes i have new potatoes (plain) and maybe 2 slices of bread a day (whether if its a sandwich or toast) and i try too burn more then 400calories a day depending on whether im in pain or not0 -
Like many others, I tried them and they were useless. It's just a waste of money.0

Do you use a food scale to weigh and MFP to track every thing you eat every day?
Weight loss isn't linear... in the beginning my weight would go down 2lbs.. up 3.. down 4.. up 2.. down 5, etc.
During my last menstrual cycle I gained 9lbs overnight.. I weigh myself twice a day.
Do you take measurements? I also have PCOS (as well as hypothyroidism) that is controlled by the birth control implant. Has your endocrine system been further checked?
Raspberry Ketones = gimmick. Your friend lost weight because she was dieting and exercising with them. I took them for 5 months with no change in lifestyle and had 0 body change. They really don't work1 -
i use scales too weigh most things but i need some new ones and like ive said, i use MFP too put everything down what ive ate and drank. no my endocrine system hasnt been checked and measurements of what?0

literally laughed out loud at this.0 -
I tried them and just felt bloated and uncomfortable. also my hair began to fall out a bit.0
-
Measurements of your body. There was a point I stayed the same weight for about a week and a half but my clothes fit a LOT better. I didn't take actual measurements but I know despite no movement on the scale that my body was improving.0
-
no i dont take measurements of my body0

I used to take them, and would feel much warmer after taking them, so I thought that was my metabolism revving up(shrugs shoulders). I haven't taken them in a few years because I got the impression that I could stimulate my metabolism in better ways through eating and my exercise and now that I know more about caloric deficits I've been seeing a gradual decrease in weight and even though some weeks it's not a major loss (less than a pound), I noticed that when I take a week off or 10 days, that the weight doesn't come back up, and even during my period/week before period I don't see the same kind of bloating/weight gain that I used to see before.
But to get back to your question: I did see results, but from what I know now I'm pretty sure it was moreso the calorie deficit and the exercising.0 -
Hey! So I felt like for awhile I was in the same boat as you--I would try and try and only lose a few pounds. I would then go out to dinner with my husband once in a blue moon and gain it all back just from one meal (meanwhile, I used to lose weight so easily a few years back just by cutting some things out). I even tried Raspberry Ketones but it didn't work. I got my thyroid checked and everything. The ONLY thing that helped JUMPSTART my weight loss was the 21 Day Fix (no, I'm not a distributer) sold by Beach Body. I tried Weight Watchers and other portion control programs but the 21 Day Fix and meal prepping are what caused me to lose ~20 pounds. I suggest trying it! Lately I feel like I'm back to being able to lose weight fairly easily as long as I'm eating good and exercising--it doesn't seem IMPOSSIBLE anymore.2

I use to sell several major diet pills out on the market that are from supposed competing companies. I would strongly suggest not expecting major results from any sort of quick fix supplement like this. I will say I have PCOS and I have lost 45.5 pounds doing a combo of Paleo and Keto paleo 'dieting'. I would suggest looking directly into a keto diet and a book called keto clarity. Some specialists suggest ketosis for people with PCOS or other metabolic disorders. However, you need to check with a well educated doctor as it is pretty extreme compared to most eating habits. They will need to do some blood work before giving you the okay.1

You need better friends that don't recommend you waste your money on useless junk.2
