Some days I feel so fit and heading into the right direction then I get on the scale and I'm up. I am stuck between 228-230. Started at 237 July 13th. I get so frustrated sometimes! Just venting, advice would be nice :)

weight and measure everything you put in your mouth and make sure you are accurately logging, and eating exactly the right amount of calories no more no less.

Fluctuating a couple pounds every day is normal. DO NOT step on that scale every day, it will disappoint you and drive you mad! Just pay attention to how your clothes are fitting and how much better you feel and before you know it, the weight will be falling off! Plus, you just started on your weight loss journey and you seem to be doing pretty well to me. Keep it up and try to only weigh yourself once a week and at the same time for more accurate results....but remember, don't rely on that scale :)

There's great advice above. I really found that weighing myself daily was counterproductive - small fluctuations in the wrong direction were discouraging and confusing.
Also, don't forget that muscle is denser than fat, so if you are exercising there is a chance that you are losing fat and gaining muscle. For that reason, measuring yourself with a measuring tape or measuring your body fat percentage may help you more accurately measure your progress

Physiology is a funny thing. All animals, including humans, resist losing weight. Fat is good in times of famine. Thankfully, humans in first world countries don't know famine anymore, but our genes are still designed to prepare us for it.
Psychology is also a funny thing. Humans want objective measurements of success. I suggest using a tape measure instead of the scale. The scale is a number that changes based on how much water I drank, salt I ate and exercise I did yesterday. The tape measure is not going to change daily, but it will change. My waist is smaller; hips and thighs too. My clothes fit better and I had to buy jeans that aren't falling off.
As someone mentioned above, my endurance is better and it wouldn't occur to me now to ask someone else to change the bottle on the work water cooler.
Eat smaller portions of the food you love. Find an exercise that you enjoy and do it. The weight will come off, eventually.

Thank you all! It's like i want something so bad and when i don't get it in a timely manner I get frustrated. But I will continue pushing. I didn't gain overnight and I sure won't lose it that way either. Thanks again.

Thanks. When I started took me about 20 mins to run a while now I can do it in 14 mins. Progress I guess huh

I am HORRIBLE when it comes to having patience.....especially when it's something I've wanted SO badly! But, it's been worth it! So keep it up and you'll get there before you know it!

Exactly this--do not weigh yourself everyday! If you allow yourself a cheat meal or day per week, weight yourself the day before that so you can get a more accurate reading. Personally, I don't even use a scale. I just go by how my clothes fit and how my body looks.
