I've been fat sicne I can remember. Starting around 6. I've never been a normal weight. i was never told by my family that I had a weight problem even though it was as clear as day. Anyway, how do i know what my body build is? How do i know if I'm petite but just with a lot of fat, or a bigger build but still just with a lot of fat? lol. What do you judge by, or don't I?

You won't really know until you're closer to a healthy weight, and that's fine.0 -
I suppose you could go to a doctor and try to find out you like body fat percentage and you muscle percentage and your bone percentage, etc....
i guess that would help you figure out what sort of shape you are - ish.
i dunno..0 -
How tall are you? What build do the other women in your family have including grandmothers or great grandmothers? Which side of your family do you look like the most?0

Do you have any aunts or cousins that are similar height to you? If they are healthy you could look to them for body shape ideas. Otherwise I know you can look online for different little tests that can tell if you are a small, medium, or large frame. I think one of them has to do with wrist circumfrance. I'm not positive though.0

There's some really cool tools on the WEBMD webside http://www.webmd.com/diet/healthy-eating-fitness-services that might help figure out what is a healthy weight/size for you.0

The best place is to measure the circumference of your wrist! Most people don't gain weight right at their wrist! There is a scale online that tells you the ranges for small medium and large build. Hope that helps!0

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/17182.htm is the scale... had to dig around to find it Thanks... apparently my seven inch wrist isn't even on the scale! I am XL boned!0

I'm about 90% my mom and 10% my dad, and they were both thin when they were my age. So I have a pretty good idea of what I'll look like.0

I have a body type of my grandmother, daddy's mom. I look nothing like my mom. She is typical apple, and I am typical hourglass type figure. My sis is the same as me. I notice that body types jump generations Also you can check various sites to determine your frame size.0
