General Question concerning "Activity Level" and Apple Watch.

I've read somewhere that you should change your activity level to "not very active" because you are using your watch to record the amount of calories burned. Now, when doing that I realized it brings my calorie intake lower (yeah I hate that lol) I am in the gym 4 times a week and I can burn up to 800 calories in the gym. I'm just wondering if it truly matters... Also I've lost 40 lbs! (If it ain't broke don't fix it right? haha)

I don't think it matters. If you set it to sedentary then you will start getting adjustments sooner then if you were set at lightly active. You will also get calories taken away if you don't meet mfp's lightly active numbers.
I have myself set to sedentary even tho i try to aim for 15kms most days.
In the end it should even out. Sedentary, you start off with less calories, but you can easily increase them without much effort. Lightly active, start off with more calories but takes a little more effort/time to get the calories to start moving.
Have i just confused you further? lol I know what i want to say, but I'm struggling write it down so it makes sense!1 -
When you say adjustments, I'm assuming either weight loss or weight gain? Whatever your goal is? Sorry even though I lost 40 lbs I still am new to this regardless haha. But I am a teachers assistant, I do a BIT of moving around but not nearly enough that I would be considered "lightly active." Because I work at the desk with children. Anyways haha I'm sorry for the extra information... I'm just trying to make sure I keep losing the weight I want to lose.
Thank you0 -
Do you have your tracker synced to mfp?
If so, the more you move the more calories (adjustments) will get added here ontop of your base calories.
