Weight loss after physiotherapy?

Hey all! I just wanna know about dieting and weight loss after a physiotherapy. I have been suffering from severe joint pain and stiffness for the past 2 years and was on some medicines (including Letrozole), but that did nothing. After that, I have tried physiotherapy as per my friend's suggestion from Physio Now, Mississauga ( http://www.physionow.ca/ ) and it was a little slow, but complete natural healing. It's going to be 2 months from I finished my physiotherapy course and I am planning to start my weight loss program. What are your views on dieting and weight loss after a physiotherapy? Will it create any side effects? Should I wait for some more months? If yes, how many? Can anyone help me to find answers to these questions? Thanks in advance.

I don't think it makes any difference. If you need to lose weight, there is no point in waiting. Dieting is just eating normal food, but slightly less than usual, in order to create a calorie deficit which makes your body use up stored fat. I would advice you to avoid any "diets" that has you cut out food groups, eat too little, or eat in a strange or unusual way. If you have any medical reasons to take extra caution, I'd suggest asking your physiotherapist or your primary health care provider.0

Hi.
I've just finished 10 weeks of physio for bursitis on my shoulder.
I was informed exercising will help, I was given a stretch band to use performing simple movements
until the muscle was fixed.
I used the band until i had regained the movement in my arm.
Now im back to training as normal.
All I would say is don't try and do too much too quickly.
Good luck, hope it goes well for you0 -
I think the two go hand in hand. I was doing a lot of physio last year for my back - two-hour sessions, twice weekly for 12 weeks. I started logging in MFP the week before I started and lost two pounds per week. I think the physio saved my back and MFP significantly helped me lose weight at the same time. Do not wait but as mrflipmode said don't do too much. Good luck.
