Not books, but Ive seen the TV show he made some years back. Its the easy way of losing weight imho.
In fact its so easy that most people wont even try it, cause it seems too easy.

Im using "the 4 golden rules", and have been for a little over a month. Down 10 kg (ish) so far.

I haven't read any of his books, but I've seen some of his shows - and I ordered "I Can Make You Thin" at my library last night, after I read about it at Amazon :D The four golden rules really ring true to me - now. They wouldn't have before I started MFP. I was so caught up in what I should and shouldn't eat that I just couldn't enjoy what I ate - my assumption was that what I liked, was bad for me, and I hated everything I believed was good for me. I didn't know what "hungry" and "full" meant, but of course I thought I did.

When I joined MFP, I was fed up with almost-normal, restrictive "non-diet" diets. I had decided to challenge my fear of fat. I started to participate in the forums. I read a lot. "The Hypnotic Gastric Band" sounds faddy, but I imagine it does what I did - I started to actively think, eat and move like a normal weight person. I'm down 50 pounds and have kept them off for 21 months.

The golden rules are so simple and wonderful that they deserve to be repeated (hope I don't do anything wrong here):
    1. When you are hungry, eat.
    2. Eat what you want (not what you think you "should").
    3. Eat consciously and enjoy every mouthful.
    4. When you are full, stop.

This is in line with ideas set forth by people like Isabel Foxen Duke (intuitive eating), Ellyn Satter (normal eating), Allen Carr (wait for meals and enjoy them more), and partly Reinhard Engels (The No S Diet). It also coincides with the views of the majority of the veterans here on the forums. I had no idea that eating without worrying was possible, and that eating well could be so easy. But I won't deny that it's been hard work. To act purposely against ingrained attitudes is difficult.

Bought the tape several years ago and it helped me loose about ten pounds in a relatively short time. Then of course I gave it up.

I've been doing the LCHF diet now for several months and I've lost over a stone but I know I'm beginning to slip, I'll try and resurrect McKenna's tape and maybe that will put me back on track again

    Must remember his mantra:
    1. Eat when you are hungry.
    2. Eat what you want (not what you think you "should").
    3. Eat consciously and enjoy every mouthful.
    4. When you are full, stop.

    Here's to another few pounds
