people of MFP,
I have a question. according to the BMI chart i have to loose 26-66 lbs to fit into the "healthy" category. Heres the problem I'm a dancer AND a cheerleader and I need a lot more muscle than the average person.
Is there another chart I should look at?
thanks!:)

The chart is simply the average. Get a body fat test. This will tell you better than anything. The BMI is great for the average person, it has a nice healthy range, but for athletes and body builders that's where it starts to break down.

Thank you! I just was so frustrated when my doctor said how much weight i needed to lose, because it's like, uhm I cant weight that little I'm a back spot and I need a lot of muscle.
Just one more question, where can I get one of those?

If you have ANY muscle at all BMI is totally useless.

You can usually get body fat tests done at most bigger gyms. Or you can buy a pair of the calipers yourself (porbably online or at a fitness store) and have someone measure you.
