Another TOM Question...Sorry Guys!

I am going on my 2nd week on my TOM. I got it about a month after I stopped breastfeeding and it's my first cycle since giving birth late February. It's driving me nuts! I'm craving sweets all the time...and giving in! I am very good about staying within my calories/fat/carbs even with the sweets but my sugar is most definitely going to prevent me from losing weight. I try to get a work out in daily, even if it's something low impact like a walk or Yoga. Anyone been through this? How did you fare? Any suggestions?

I get major cravings for sweet things too.
What I do is identify as many low fat/low cal options as possible and make sure that I have them stocked. I keep my meals low cal but filling so I know that come the call for sweet food I have enough in my calorie purse to spend on what I want.
I might have a low fat chocolate mousse, a mini milk, some wafer biscuits, any, all or a combination because all of these things are 50 calories or less. 150 calories and you've had 3 different treats to try and hit the spot.0 -
I've had cycle issues for several years now. Random starting and stopping, sometimes only 3 days sometime 3 weeks. It's frustrating and it's definitely hard on the diet! I try to make sure I increase my water during that time and this is when you want to add the Crystal Light or something. Try to keep moving as much as possible. Oh and if you give in to the sugar... make it fruit!0

I would say since your exercising and staying under your calories you should be fine and since you know this is going on kind of expect to just to maintain your current weight that way if you lose you'll be that much more surprised , drink plenty more water and give yourself a couple days after wards before getting on the scale good luck0

Have you talked to your dr about this? You could have a blood disorder.0 -
