Green smoothie challenge

I am on a 30 day green smoothie challenge. Today is day 2 for me. I am doing this because I want to cleanse my body from all the past junk I've consumed and to change my lifestyle. Anyone else out there who would be interested in joining me? I put baby kale and spinach in the blender to start my base. I usually add some mango chunks, pineapple, onions, celery, and one banana. I also add pumpkin seeds and nuts. Don't forget to add ice because sometimes the smoothie may taste warm when you try it. One more thing, the first few days might make you irritable, cranky, and hungry for food. Just be kind and patient with yourself. It's perfectly normal to have cravings. I've done this before and failed the challenge, but I'm not going to give up this time around. Please consult with your doctor before you start this challenge to see if it may conflict with your health conditions.

What junk have you eaten and why would it still be in your system, and what difference would smoothies make in getting it out? And how will you know that it's out?
Of course you will be irritable, cranky, and hungry for food. Are these smoothies meant to be your only food source for 30 days? In that case, no wonder you fail doing this.
Do you feel a need to punish yourself for enjoying food? You don't have to do that, food is MEANT to be enjoyed.
If you want to change your lifestyle, change your behaviors and attitude. You don't need a jump start, cleanse, detox or confession and absolution as a rite of passage.6 -
You have a functioning liver and kidneys don't you? And once you've pooped, the 'junk' is gone...1

Pick a reasonable calorie deficit, no need to make yourself cranky. Learn to eat all foods in moderation. You can do this!1

Be kind to yourself? You're punishing yourself when you haven't done anything wrong. If you wanted to be kind to yourself, you'd just eat normal food. A smoothie can make a fine snack or meal in its own right, but you should still be feeding yourself properly. Your challenge to do something unpleasant to yourself for no reason makes about as much sense as the cinnamon challenge, smarties challenge, eraser challenge, and all the other things kids are doing to prove themselves these days.0 -
Oh dear. So sorry you feel you must be miserable to lose weight. The only cleansing you need is in the shower - anything else is just woo. I like a nice smoothie now and then but only smoothies for 30 days = oh hell no.2

Nothing but smoothies? Where are you going to get your fat/protein?1

Why does your body need cleansing? Are you unable to poop??
The smoothie doesn't really sound delicious, but it does sound healthy... why not replace just one meal a day with the smoothie and actually eat food for your other meals so you don't feel cranky and miserable?1 -
I prefer real food.
You won't drop weight any faster drinking smoothies than eating the same amount of calories.1 -
I'll pass......irritable and cranky and you failed before. ...what a sales pitch (not).....wtf.....1

Drinking lots of water works too.1

I challenge you to not buy into false claims about detoxing junk from your body, or jump starting anything, because it is all lies somebody made up to sell a book. Just eat better, and stay with in your calories, and you won't have to worry about being irritated, cranky, and hungry.1
