For a while, I was pretty steadily losing a pound a week. I platues, and now all that weight has come back! I'm aware that I super pushed myself this last weekend. My eating wasn't super clean, but I kept it healthy. I know muscle. Weigh more, and that their are six diffrent reasons this weight could be superficial, but its so discourageing. Its five pounds. I'm back at 240. I have taken off half an inch which is good.

I just feel like if the scale isn't going down, I'm failing.

Maybe my scale and I need a trial separation.

However If I dont weigh myself I fall off the horse with my eating.

Why am I doing this so wrong? T-T

It would help if you opened up your diary so we can help you.

Sorry you're frustrated. I can't see your diary, but have a look at the first post in the following thread and see if it applies to you.

It made a lightbulb go on for me and after holding onto an extra 10 lbs. from a "mystery gain" for over a year, I finally realized I was starving my metabolism. Now I am down 12 pounds in about 2 months and thrilled.

Hilarious. I'm about ready to divorce my scale!

Maybe you're right about taking a break from the scale. If it were me, I would focus on doing active things that I love doing (for me that would be rollerblading, biking, running, dancing video games, team sports) and take a month off from worrying about how much weight is or is not coming off. Maybe you could log your food and stay within your calorie range, log your exercise, and after a month of having fun and finding new, interesting things to do, you'll see some change!

You need to embrace that making these choices is not just so you can see numbers on a scale or measuring tape go down. These are changes for the rest of your life. When you hit the weight you are aiming for, how are you going to measure your continued success since you'll no longer have the scale to remind you? You need to eat healthy, exercise and be proud that you're making good choices for yourself and your future. I think this is the most important thing I've learned over the past two weeks when nothing much has moved regarding numbers. Just stick with it and as long as you can look yourself in the mirror and truthfully say that you are doing absolutely everything in your power to be healthy, eventually the weight will start coming back off again.

I hope this makes sense. You're powerful, girl, you can do this!

I opened up my diary, so have mercy!

That being said, I can't say I disagree with this gentleman. But honestly eating g more calories never made since to me. That's what got me into this mess in the first place.

I'm being silly, but so much information is out there and its to tell what's real and isn't just some gimmick.

    So be cruel. Judge me.

Hey lady, I'd love to see how much sodium you're taking in - can you switch it around so you track that if even for just the next hour or so so I can check that out? And how much water have you been drinking? Most days your diary says 0....

I didn't look too far back, but I'd say you definitely need to watch your sodium intake and make sure you're drinking plenty of water - I'd suggest half your body weight in ounces of water (I weight 234 pounds so I try to drink 117 ounces or 15 glasses).
