OK, so last night/yesterday I ate a total of 1,000 calories and I was beyond stuffed. I was almos miserable. How is it that when I don't eat much and don't meet my calorie goal I feel super stuffed and full, but on the days I almost go over and seem to eat more food, I still feel like I'm starving??? Any help would be appreciated!!

Maybe your meals are too far apart? I'll notice that if I don't eat breakfast or lunch (which happens a lot when I'm working), and I go to eat dinner and a snack, I get SO FULL eating a normal, or slightly larger than normal portion. Whereas on days when I eat my meals regularly and am never starving, I'm like.... I'm not full so that must mean I'm still hungry. I'm sure that's the wrong mindset to have. Could that be it?

A lot of it is going to depend on what you're eating. Lots of fruits and veggies can equal a full stomach without a lot of calories. I've found that when I eat junk, I want more junk and I'll almost always go over on calories (or need to throw in a late night workout to compensate). You don't seem to eat much between meals. Try adding in some extra calories between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner. I know for me, eating lots of small meals throughout the day helps me to even out my eating pattern so I don't go too far over or under on any day.

It might be because all of your meals have a lot of protein, good but filling

Some of it is sure psychological. I know there are days that I just feel hungry all day long, and others I don't even think about eating until it's meal time. What foods you eat to get those calories could also play a large factor. Small portions of calorie dense foods will not make you feel as stuffed as a bigger portion of lower calorie foods. Also, how active you've been that day or the day(s) before may have something to do with.

I was like that yesterday too! I had eaten a lot of vegetables so I find that fills me up more!
