We captured a team member from EvilFlying Monkeys who pulled in an extra 1127 calories for our team!

We added a team member from another boats highest burned calorie count to our total for the 5th July. I went for the EvilFlying Monkeys Boat as they seemed to be having consistently high burns and we were rewarded with 1162 calories extra making our total for the 5th 144.96 miles travelled.

My total miles not counting today are 259.62 not counting today because I'm not done yet.. I'm around 1000 burned but I'm about to go for a walk and then ride my bike some more so probably a minimum of 30 miles today.0

you can count the chasing of kiddos-- cooking for a longer time than normal, running around playing, lifting the presents

Maybe I should try and persuade her to go in her back carrier and cart her around the city that way. I bet walking uphill through the centre of Sydney with a 17kg weight on my back would burn a few, could try to convince the 5yo to sit in the pushchair and push a 27kg weight as well! Not sure they'd be keen on it but man would it burn a load!!
I will wear my HRM to see what our day out burns, I hadn't thought of adding it on but duh of course I should, its on top of what I usually do!
We're doing better for 6th July, still waiting for some numbers to come in but so far the boat has moved 225.12 miles, I know it'd be great to win but it would be even better to complete the challenge and have built new stronger exercise regimes and know that as a team, to finish we will have burnt in the region of 1.5million calories!0 -

Aye aye captain, nicely put. Let's still aim to win though! I for one am going to try for big burns tomorrow and Sun (to counteract any losses ob the latter.) It's also worth bearing in mind that the teams far ahead may be burning themselves out at this stage, whereas we're increasing our overall fitness, so later in the race we have the potential to burn past them!0 -
Sorry guys, July 6 didn't happen for me...knees are twinging. Going to hit 90 mins on the elliptical this evening (California time zone...) for July 7. Re: the Sunday challenge...I will plan on doing long run that day... Have a great calorie burning day all!0

It's constantly being updated, we move places numerous times throughout the day...so no, XxXstars9967XxX, I haven't noticed that 'we suck' and frankly I find that really discouraging and unnecessary.

Im not saying that we're not doing good,we are. I just think we could do better as a team0

Some people have different fitness levels, I think you need to accept that. We have people doing the 30DS who can't do a lot on top, and people who are holidaying, out of town and I think also injured. Can you really expect them to be pulling 3 to 4 thousand calorie burns? Overall, we are doing very well, we've been in fifth position and such, and even if people are pulling regular low numbers they need encouragement not judgement and to be told that we suck as a result, in my opinion.0
