blood sugars

Sorry i tagged on to someone else
looking for advice,last night before bed bloods were 6,0 at 3.30 am i was up wringing with sweat,shaking and feeling lousy,any ideas on what went wrong .never had this before.

    Hi, they are 16.4 now , i did eat during the night tea and biscs ...i know not good stuff to eat at night,just dont want to hve this feeling again

    You probably had a false low BG from falling BG, probably due to reactive hypoglycemia. You provably hit a high of 10 or more and then insulin finally caught up and lowered your BG fast. The up and down roller coaster is the problem, and not a low.... A 6 is far from low.

    Eating fewer carbs, avoiding flours and sugars will help prevent a BG roller coaster. And when you do eat carbs, pair them with protein and fat.

    More worrying is a BG of 16. :(. Some diabetic complication risks start increasing in the mid 5s and 6s never mind the teens. You need to work on keep BG closer to a 6 at all times. Or lower. 4s and 5s are better.
