Uh YEAH! With Vader showing up in it, that's worth it alone!

Some of my friends were complaining about how Disney is just going to start pumping them out now, like Harry Potter movies. And I was like...Your point is?! I was STOKED when I heard there was going to be a movie/year. We had such a long dry spell after (and let's be honest--during) the prequels. I'm so ready.

Also love that they are using unknown actors in key roles. Just like in the original series.

Yes and no. I mean, they had to basically redo the whole thing because apparently it sucked, and I'm not really holding my breath that they can fix it by December.

I am looking forward to it, but not excited about it.... yet...
    FYI -
No, Vader will have a small role, but essential (talked about in some articles) after all, he is chasing princess Leia at the beginning of Star Wars.
I used to think I had to go to the midnight showing but found that theaters are allowed to start showing the movie at 7:30 PM before opening day. That's what I did for Force Awakens. I was able to see the movie, and still go into work the next day not having lost any sleep. So bonus!

    Also
    Jimmy Smits
    will be in it!

    So questions:
Who do you think will die in it?
What do you think about the new Han Solo. I think, based on what I saw him in recently, that he can make it work.

Not in the UK. I thought that the US showing the day before was so that (for simultaneous international releases) the US people get it at same time as Europeans going to midnight showings?

At the SW Celebration panel one of the actors kind of gave away a death. They tried to chalk it up to his broken English.

The Force Awakens did the had the same amount of re-shoot time. It's common for big budget movies to go back and do re-shoots. That being said, it seems, from the trailers, that it's more of a traditional Hollywood action movie, but it will be better because it's based in Star Wars. I have to question story and character development and would be worried about that.

Meh? I got so burnt out by Star Wars: TFA that I'm still kind of indifferent about the SW universe right now. Don't get me wrong, i WANT to be excited about it. I think TFA was so hyped up, and I walked out feeling so "it was ok" about it that my brain is like trying to tell me not to fall into the hype.
I hope its good though. :)

    Yeah and no.

Then again, this was how I felt about The Force Awakens, and was for the most part pleasantly surprised.
Star Wars is such a mixed bag..sigh..
