When do I adjust weight for calorie recalculation?

Do I need to go to my stats and change my old weight to my current weight (after losing around 20 lbs) or do I just leave it alone until I reach my goal weight?

What I do is go to MY HOME and then select check in. I add new weight. I do not weigh myself everyday. You can choose how many times you want to update your weight.1

Do you mean changing your stats so it recalculates your daily calories? I would leave it alone as long as you continue to lose weight. As you get closer to your goal, you may find that you are not losing, which is a good time to reevaluate.
ETA: Duh, you said so right in the title.2 -
My view is the opposite of @CorneliusPhoton above.
Adjusting every 10lbs is good if you have a lot to lose, 5 if you have under 30-ish.
This keeps your weight loss in line with your goals, helps prevent stalling, and a much gentler way to decrease your calories during weight loss.
Also be aware that your calories burnt through exercise will decrease slightly.

How do you actually goal your goals and force mfp to recalculate?0

I do it every 5 lbs. It makes a small difference.0
