Keeping it simple... eat good, exercise, water, sleep, repeat.

Building momentum isn't easy in the beginning... I'm eating basic diet of rice, beans, chicken, veggies (with seasoning/oils) yogurt and a little fruit. I looked through yummy recipes on Pinterest... It was overwhelming!! I don't want to add English muffins, triscuits, avocado or any other meals to the mix until I get through another week at least. Letting my body get used to the new calorie restrictions.

36yo lady with a bunch of weight to lose. New diet started 7 days ago. 3 lb lost. Woohoo!!! Still building momentum...keeping it simple is working. I keep an open diary.

Momentum +determination +support +friends =success

MFP pals are the best :) Feel free to add me!

Well done on your great start. I have a similar mind set. Only three rules, keep within the daily calories, do 10k steps a day and learn to say NO! It's working, I've lost over 10lbs in the first three weeks and have more energy to boot. Biggest difficulty for me was the saying no to wine, but I knew this was the part that would make the most difference to my results.
