Good question! I've heard people say they adapt the proportions if they follow a low carb diet etc, but I wouldnt have a clue, lol.
I always go over on protein, sometimes go over on carbs and am always a lot under on fat, as I have had gallstones and was told my the doctors to follow a very low fat diet. Seems to be working for me despite this as long as I stick to the calories.

Most people agree that protien is set WAY too low here, so it is acceptable to go over.
The ones that will hinder your progress if you go over will be Sodium, Calories, and to a small extent Sugers.0 -
If I go over, I go over on my protein and sometimes carbs. I had my gallbladder taken out a few years ago though so fatty (more specifically, greasy) foods do not agree with me very well. I guess that's a plus.
But as long as you are under your calorie intake, you should be fine. Sugar as well should be moderated.0 -
Good question...I almost always am over on protein, and I think I eat a reasonable amount most days. I tend to look at my calorie intake overall and make sure I stay under on fat and sodium. It has been working for me, but I would experiment to see what works best for you. Good luck! I'll send you a friend request for the added support....I need it too!0

First off, welcome!
When it comes to proteins, it depends also on how much you are exercising. If you are doing a lot of exercise daily, it would be perfectly acceptable to go over the protein amount because your body simply needs it. Do what feels best for your body and stick to lean meats and veggies. If that means you end up going over the protein amount, there is nothing wrong with that.
Best of luck on reaching your goals!!!0 -
You can manually change yours under goals. I have mine set at 45% carbs, 25% protein and 30% fat and I put my sugar at 40 grams a day (way better than I used to do I figure). This set up seems to be working for me as I am pleased w/ my results so far. You can also have it show sodium too b/c it is important to watch....too much sodium will make you retain water and hinder weight loss. Try to be under the 2,500 mg. per day....which is so hard b/c it seems like everything has sodium in it!
Good luck to you!!0 -
thanks all. be blessed.0
