Blood Type O Diet

I have been on the Blood Type O Diet for almost 2 years. It was a God send because it got rid of my lifelong depression! However, I haven't lost weight (haven't gained any either which for me is miraculous). I am on day 4 of tracking my calories in Myfitnesspal. Because of many of the concepts in the Landmark Forum and my lack of depression, I really think that I will be able to conquer my weight loss and health challenges. Near term things I need to do:
Get realistic O Type recipes and cook, cook, cook (I have been eating out for decades, recently started to cook minor dishes like hot dogs and rice)
How can I season my rice and sweet potatoes is a tasty way using Blood type O ingredients?
Track not only calories, but hunger.
Refine my vitamin cocktail: vitamin D (energy) Sea Kelp (iodine needed for us O types), Liver Rescue (rev up the metabolism), B12 (short term. memory), Magnesium (forgot what this was for).
My diet consists of bananas, apples, salad, kosher beef hot dogs, white rice, prunes, sorbet, chocolate, tons of carbonated water, antioxidan tea ... I need more variety ...
Todat I wasn't that hungrey. It was not a struggle to keep to my 1200 calories ... hope tomorrow will the same.
This is it, and it's perfect. From nothing, right now, who I am is the possibility of positive, purposeful, disciplined action.

Eating a certain way based on your blood type is nonsense not not scientifically proven or sound.4

I am glad your emotions are better.
As for weight loss, be careful on the standard 1200 calorie diet thing.
That's a number thrown about, but why not plug into the MFP system of logging foods and exercise to lose a pound per week?
And just for fun, sneak in some Blood-Type A foods...hehe0 -
U wot now?1

That's great you're using My Fitness Pal!
Just eat moderate amounts of whatever you like and stay within your calorie limit.
Weight loss is all about being in a calorie deficit.
Don't worry about putting other restrictions on yourself, or you'll never stick to your limit long enough to lose the weight.
Best wishes.2 -
Here is a rice recipe for all types:
http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/recipedepictor7x.cgi?71#gredients:
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
1 cup fat-free chicken broth [Type B should sub]
1 cup water
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup sliced portabello mushrooms (about 4 oz, or 4 big ones)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1 package chopped frozen spinach, cooked according to directions, then drained and pressed until most of water is gone. May use 6 cups shredded fresh spinach leaves instead
4 oz. feta cheese, crumbled

All you need to do to lose weight, is to stick to your calorie goal (be aware that 1200 can be too little to sustain; how much you should eat will depend on how much you weigh and how much you have to lose - bigger people must eat more), and to eat for good health, you have to get in everything you need but not too much of anything. That diet sounds overly complicated and restrictive. Your need for variety is telling you that.
Tracking hunger is good. Cooking is good. Being happy wih the way you eat is good. Faith is good. Blind faith is not good. The blood type diet is hogwash, and the metabolism can't be "revved up" by supplements.1 -
This sounds way too complicated for me but glad it works for you.0
