Getting sick.

So over the last 6 months I have lost 52lbs and anytime I try to go back and eat greasy or bad food. I get super sick to my stomach and have these terrible pains in my upper abdomen. I was on vacation so I tried to cheat a little bit, and my stomach just wasn't having it. Is it normal to be like this is my body just not use to these foods so it can't take it anymore? Has anyone else had similar problems?

All par for the course for some of us.
I am not a big greasy/deep fried food eater and if I do have it- it is cramps then out the other end within 2 hr.

    Cheers, h.

It sounds like gallstones. They tend to build up when the gallbladder isn't emptied regularly by eating enough fat. Attacks tend to get triggered by fatty food (not "bad" food). (I wish someone had told me this so I didn't have to have those pains and the operation :( )

Anyway, we don't do internet diagnoses ;) Get it checked out. Go see doctor.

It's a good thing you had the operation because attacks don't get triggered by fatty foods only. Anything can trigger them.

Sounds like gallbladder to me. A doctor will be able to tell you for sure.

No, I can thankfully enjoy a fatty pig out meal now and again.

I don't know the cause of it, but overly greasy foods do this to me as well. It didn't do it in the past, but now that I watch what I eat, it's a definite problem. I even have to avoid most pork, unless it's been broiled dry.

I agree that it sounds like a gallbladder issue. I would go to your doctor and have them check it out.

I will second everyone's advice to see a doctor. Dieting increases the chances for gallbladder issues. It could be that you just got "unused" to certain foods (never happened to me), but better safe than sorry.
