Plug your numbers into MFP, and based on your calories, stay within that range. If you exercise, eat back about 25% of those calories. Get a food scale and weigh your food to get a more accurate account of the calories you consume. That's it. You can still eat your favorite foods so long as you have the calories for it. But over time, you will begin to make better and healthier food choices. You'll learn to eat your calories as opposed to drinking it, so you'll need to drink a ton of water as well.3

Log everything you eat, and aim to have a deficit as often as possible (but don't freak out if you go slightly over occasionally). I find the accountability of entering everything really helps with portion control and smart food choices (especially for snacks). Get a digital scale and weigh your food, if possible.2

Be gentle on yourself when exercising for about 9 months PP. I hurt my back because I jumped back into working out the way I used to too quickly.0

you could try some online videos specifically for postnatal exercise (so there's less risk of injuring yourself). Flex live-streams a class by Vicky Warr ('thebeezkneez') which you could try?

It is not easy!
My daughter just turned a year old and I am still struggling to lose the weight and tone my tummy.
I get really annoyed seeing those girls who have flat tummies just weeks after baby lol
After my daughter was born my hormones changed and it became MUCH harder to lose the weight. I now get on the elliptical every evening for about 30-40 min and also go to the gym 3x a week as well as eating healthy and smaller portions. It is not easy but I will say the longer you do it the more routine it gets and it's not quite as difficult.
I have lost almost 20 lbs so far and still have a ways to go.
Good luck, you can do it!0 -
