Sagging breasts

Hi, I've recently decided start losing weight. I've been overweight my entire life. At my thinnest I was 130 lbs. I currently weigh I a lot more than that, and have 60 lbs to lose.
But, the thing that has me terrified, is the idea of sagging boobs. Im a 40 DD and thry naturally have a little sag to them. I'm worried if i lose the 60 lbs, even very slowly over the course of a year, my boobs will completely deflate. I have body esteem issues already. I don't want awkward breasts to add to that.
In high school I was somewhere between 150-180 lbs and wore 38D cups, having gained another 40 lbs I feel like most of it went to my stomach , my arms, my back and the area under my clavicles. Will losing my desired weight still leave me with relatively large breasts but with more of a sag? Even if i take a long time losing the weight? Thanks.

Breasts are mostly made up of fatty tissue. If you lose weight your breasts will decrease in size.0

I agree with @keharty. Plus, keep in mind that someday we are all going to have saggy boobs. Men and women. You can't defeat age and gravity.4

I wouldn't let it hold you back. My experience after gaining weight during pregnancy + breastfeeding for a year + losing weight was that they did look saggy and I was really upset that I would never get my body back to what I was used to, but then I kept the weight off, kept working out, and after a year or two they are better than ever!!! Well, almost, lol, but I definitely don't have much to complain about. My point is, that when you do get to your goal weight, you still might not like what you see, but our skin will usually tighten up eventually as long as you keep and it and stay hydrated!3

My boobs have never been perky. As it turns out, saggy boobs do not ruin your life.9

A gel insert in your bra would solve that .2

You have 2 choices, stay as you are or lose weight and see what happens. There is no crystal ball.5

Boobs sag at one point or another. There's always the option of plastic surgery too, but I would defer from it till you get to your goal weight.

Boobs naturally sag as we age. There isn't a lot you can do about it. When you were at your lowest weight did you have large breast? If you did then you will probably retain some of your breast size.2

My starting weight was 275. At that time, I wore a 42DD. I'm maintaining at 130. After losing all that weight, my breasts were deflated, saggy balloons. In a bra, no one could tell. However, six weeks ago, I treated myself to a breast lift. I'm wearing the same bras I wore before the lift, but I don't have to (literally) roll my breast up into my bra. If I didn't tell you I had a lift, you wouldn't know....well, unless you saw me naked.
When I started losing weight, I had no intention of getting cosmetic surgery; however, after maintaining for a year, I decided it was something I wanted to do for myself.
Don't let the thought of saggy boobs stop you from losing weight. Trust me, I was much happier when I was skinny with saggy boobs than when I was fat with full breasts.6 -

I'm so going to adopt this as my new mantra!

There's also the fact that some breasts are made up of denser tissue than others, and that's just luck of the draw genetic-wise. If yours are more on the fatty end they may sag worse, but like others have said, I don't think there's any predicting that in advance.0

After losing 50lbs mine are shot to hell. I'd rather stuff these saggy tits in a bra than to keep the 50lbs and nice boobs. Just my opinion.2

I don't know how old you are, but if you are middle aged or above, sagging boobs will be joining sagging belly skin, sagging thighs, sagging arm "flaps"...which is still so much better than the fat you lost! Embrace it!1
