Your favourite exercise!

They say the best exercise is something you enjoy doing but I've never really found something that I really enjoy... So I'm putting it out there to get some new ideas - what's your go to, or your favourite way to exercise and get fit?

Zumba. And Clubbercise. Anything "dancy" with loud music basically, and preferably darkish so no one can see me ;)

Long distance cycling and strength training.

Both suit my self-competitive nature. I enjoy the activities and enjoy the results they give me.

What changed to make you start enjoying it? Tonight will be my final run in the C25K program. I love the challenge, and completing it, and really like being able to say that I can run 5k...but I don't particularly enjoy the actual running part. I think I'd like to, though.

I walk a lot. Averaging 13,000 steps a day now. I've also been running, and do a fair bit of eliptical. What makes the most difference exercise-wise is resistance/weight training. When I don't get to the gym, weight loss slows down. What I eat matters most though. I find I really need a mix of eating well, weights and cardio. You know, kinda like what all the experts say :)

Squats on my Total Gym Fit, it's easy for me; to do. I can increase the resistance levels (which're my body weight, on a movable incline bench) & it allows usage of a barbel, to attach additional weight.

I love gymnastics, calisthenics, tumbling, pretty much anything that's fun and looks cool.

I also like weight lifting (most importantly the results it gives).

With me, I just feel better during and after a run. That's why I enjoy it. It makes me feel good. Both physically and mentally. Find that sweet spot, fast enough to be a challenge but not so fast that it hurts.

Chalk up running as my favorite exercise. Lifting ain't so bad either.

Eating...does that count? :D I don't typically enjoy exercising, but I do it for my health. Below is my list in no particular order.

    1. Walking - It's my go to lazy workout.
    2. Running
    3. Kettlebell
    4. Cycling
    5. Weight training (light weights though)

Pull-up/Burpee/Plyo push-up/power jump combo is probably my favorite. I like boulder push-ups and barefoot sprinting a lot too.

Bicycling is my favorite. I'm weird in that I like urban biking. I live in SF, CA which is very hilly and crowded, but it's possible to cycle all year and there's a network of bike paths connecting almost the entire city. I *LOVE* to head out on my bike early Sunday morning while the rest of the city is still sleeping and have the bike paths and much of the city to myself.

Next would be hiking with my dogs. I don't like the exercise so much as seeing how happy it makes the dogs!

There is something special about a Dawn Patrol Ride. Esp in a big city that's still sleeping. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, and there's just something about grabbing my Aventon and going downtown and logging some miles.

I teach Zumba Gold and love it. I workout doing Zumba as I try to learn new routines or try to do my own choreo. I also take Ballet and Hip Hop and love them both. Sometimes I teach children dance as a sub for now. I also do my fake Curves workout(copying the moves I learned on their machines.), I do planks, wall push ups(they are easier for now until I build up the upper body strength) and belly dance moves like abs's for something different. I've even worked out to a Hawaiian dvd which is a harder workout than it looks(stomach was sore for days) don't do this one on a day you do ballet. It was still fun though. Sometimes I work in toning moves in my Zumba Gold routines for my class.
