    Congrats on your wedding!!

Make a calorie goal and stick to it. Choose something reasonable like 1 pound a week. Too stringent and you may become discouraged and fall off the wagon.
Eat foods you like. Don't focus on "clean eating". I've lost more adhering to 80/20 (where the 20 is 20% of my calories are "junk" like cookies, ice cream or wine). Don't eliminate macros. There are no bad foods. You can still eat junk and lose (Google twinkle diet..not advocating just an example). When you start to tell yourself you can't have something because it's bad you want it the much more.
Exercise is great. Find a good balance between cardio and resistance training for maximum benefits.
Most important - be patient. If you stick to your goals you will succeed.

start reading through the forum…fill out your goals on your profile.. and just start by trying to keep to your calorie goal and drink your water.. perfect from there from the things you learn by reading the posts.. it doesn't take long.

I don't like veggies either and still lost 9 lbs in three weeks so don't worry!
What kind of food do you like?

Keep up with this board. The success stories are really motivating and can help in my opinion with motivation. I know it's not a tip on exercise or eating but it's something that keeps me motivated even when I'm having a unmotivating day or week. Good luck on your goals you got this!!

Test drive different veggies - you might be surprised to find some that you actually do like.

Like said above moderation if it works for you so you don't feel deprived.

Wrap your head around this being a permanent lifestyle change not a diet.

    Good luck.

Go to a farmer's market or anyplace where they have a variety of vegetables - there will likely be a few you haven't tried. Try them... one by one. Veggies aren't REQUIRED - but as a general rule, you can eat more of them for less calories - so it's always good to have one or two that you like.

Also - you might try hiding them... I make a wicked meatloaf that is chock full of grated carrot and zucchini... it blends in with the meat and you hardly notice there is a veggie there...

The hard truth is - you can Want to lose weight all day long... but you have to Work to get it done.

    Exercise is your friend.

You don't like veggies? Fine, don't eat them.
You don't feel like exercising? Fine, you don't have to.
I don't even know what clean eating is, but if you don't want to, you don't have to.

Eat the foods you love to eat. Just eat smaller amounts. As long as you stick to the amount of calories MFP has given you, you will lose weight. Also, weigh your foods with a scale so you know that you're being as accurate as possible (also make sure the calorie info you choose in the database is correct, since there are entries with the wrong calorie info). If you go out to eat, eat half and bring the other half home. You can always check the restaurant's website for the calorie info. If you go to a place that doesn't provide that info, you can find similar foods in the mfp database.

These are things that are working for me. I exercise every once in a while, nothing consistent. I don't eat much vegetables. I eat all the foods I love (just smaller portions) and I'm losing weight. Every once in a while I'll go over my daily calories, but I don't worry. I'll continue my routine the next day. :)
