All my life I have been overweight and struggled with food. I have tried so many diet programs, only to find an excuse to quit. I have succeeded in small weight losses (20 pounds) only to gain it back and then some.
Yesterday I stood on the scale and weighed in at 235 pounds. I'm only 5'3". To add insult to injury, this is what I weighed when I was 9 months pregnant with my son.
I'm fed up with this roller coaster ride. I'm tired of the sugar headaches, the endless bathroom trips and feeling horrible. I'm tired of feeling self conscious in public because I have more chins than eyes. Mostly, I'm tired of being a slave to food.
It's time to break free. This isn't my first rodeo. I've tried to escape before, but ended up running back to my captors. No more. I know where the path to freedom begins and how to navigate the journey. Today I take my first step, and I vow not to turn back again.

Same- I'm 5' 4" and found myself at 215 this morning. It's exhausting being overweight- feeling giant at some restaurant chairs, trying not to huff and puff when no one else is! We can do it!1

Two weeks ago I was at your point. I can't believe how much better I feel after only 2 weeks of exercising and eating right. I've only lost 4 lbs so far (which is totally reasonable for 2 weeks), but wow has my energy and mood improved. If you're serious about a lifestyle change, prepare to start feeling better soon. It's great! I look forward to getting lean right along with you!3

You got this! I don't have as much weight to lose, but the feeling of taking back your life is amazing. I just started last week and I am already feeling better. Friend request me if you're looking for support! YOU GOT THIS!1

Thank you everyone for your encouragement! I need it this morning as temptations start to peak out at me. I'm reminding myself what I want can't be found in food. This is hard, but worth it.2
