I'd say it's already a thing and is just as prevalent as sex porn if not more so. Just watch the commercials on TV for a couple of hours and you'll see plenty.

If you are going to make it American. Keep it Authentic.

Thank you. I was going for that. Care to engage thoughtfully on the meaning of "authentic" when it comes to food? Everything is derived from something else, and food dishes come here from all over the world, are changed, and evolve. Just like elsewhere. For example, is Chicken Tikka Masala authentic British food?

Chicken Tikka masala is most definitely British although the influence is from India.
Chicken Tikka Masala was not invented in India and it is highly unlikely that you will find this dish anywhere in Asian Countries.

That is exactly my point. So is it "authentic?" It's not "authentic" Indian food, but is it "authentic" British food? Or is that limited to "traditional" British fare?

There is (was?) a show on Food Network or Cooking Channel called Guilty Pleasures. It was the ultimate in food porn. It got to the point I could no longer watch because I would literally be salivating.

Shhhhh. It's French too and the sauce is derived from French cooking so it's probably not authentic.

The chefs in the UK would argue that it IS Authentic British grub. Curry and beer is a staple in most pubs here.

..but I do understand what you mean. We are all influenced by foods from all over the world so it does get complicated.

I narrow it down ( for my simple mind) to something thats been created in said country and not necessarily by the origin of specific ingredients.

Pies, fish and chips, roast dinners are all British staples.

I don't know your staples. Wait - Burgers, waffles, milkshakes?
I need to go back to the other American thread lol

I've had them at the minor league ballpark where I think they were first served (it was on Man vs Food), but one day we had leftover Krispy Kremes that someone brought into work and about 2pm someone got the brilliant idea to see if our cafeteria would make these for us before they closed for the day. They were freaking delicious...

I'd agree with those chefs. That's why my questions on what you meant by "authentic."

I eat a burger every few weeks. I can't tell you the last time I ate a waffle or milkshake and I can't speak for others, but my staples are chicken breast, sirloin, lean pork, veggies, and salads. Oh, and "Greek" yogurt and "Parmesan" cheese
