Thigh Burn

I started a new exercise class this week (Monday). It was circuit training based. It has been a long time since I have done a proper class. I enjoyed it and felt that I had done a real work out.
Then came Tuesday morning.... I could not move. The squats had come back to haunt me. Walking, going up the stairs even sitting on the toilet was so very painful.
The instructor was very good and took us through warm and and cool down stretches.
I didn't expect to feel like this.
Will it be like this every week?

Ice baths will be your friend. 5-10 minutes is long enough for most. That should help. It did for me when training for my ultra marathon

And to answer your question, probably not. Depends on your workout regimen otherwise

No. It will not be like this, although if you are only using the muscles once a week, it might go on for a long time. Get moving today as well as you can, a good walk, and it will help.

Oh, to add, things might get worse tomorrow. I always find the second day the discomfort is worse.

I found that walking really helped ease the pain. Also, and you probably don't want to hear this, but stretch them out a little. Not a ton but I would grab my foot and pull it to my butt (not sure what the stretch is actually called). It would help a lot with the pain.

It shouldn't be like that every week unless you don't work those muscles, but not overwork them, between classes.

    Best of luck!

I belong to a walking group and we walk on a weds. Between 2-3 miles. Don't know if it was the walking but woke up Thursday feeling much better and today (Friday) no soreness at all.
Have no class next Monday as it is a bank holiday so will do something on the home multi gym to work the muscles.... Thanks for the advice....

Yes probably but after some time, when you do more of those exercises, you will start to feel less soreness, because your body will be able to tolerate it.
