Motorcycle Accident

Just feel like saying this. I cashed my motorcycle today. Some will judge others will understand. All that matters is I'm still here. Broke my jaw and have stitches in my chin. I guess this accident put my health, life and family in perspective. The lady in the other car was ok. No one was hurt but me. I will be concentrating more on my health with this wake up call.
Take care everyone and besafe.

I'm glad you are ok but your injuries sound painful. My husband rides a motorcycle too, I always worry about him.0

I was coming around a corner and a lady in a truck pull out saw me coming and frooze. I slowed and was going to go around on the left side but she moved forward in that path. No correcting again I locked up and bang in the side of the SUV. I'm in a lot of pain right now.0

I've riden for years. Wrecked multiple times. Last was my worst. Have riden since but need to get a new bike.0

I just started riding again. my head is on a swivel. I don't trust anyone in a car to see a motorcycle. This time of year coming up where i live is when all the deer loose all sense and run around all over looking for a lay. I've almost hit 2 already as they cluelessly dash across the road.
Hope your feeling well soon!!0 -

Glad you're mostly okay. My husband was in a wreck at the beginning of this month and was also mostly okay, nothing that won't heal or be replaced (the bike was toast).0

Hang in there, pain will subside and body will heal and you will get the itch and get another bike... it happens to the best of us...0

Thanks everyone. I'm fairly new on here but I appreciate the support. If you don't ride this might be harder to understand. But riding is just a whole other feeling with being on the road. I'm now looking at if this feeling is worth the risk or my life. I have an 11 year old girl and a 17 year old boy. Both my wife and I drive bit like someone said above we are very careful. Don't drive at night don't drive in busy traffic. I have one block from my street and I came back because it was so busy on the road. It could have been much much worse. Again. Thank you everyone. Really nervous about how they are going to fix my jaw. Going to the surgeon soon.
Take care0 -
Haven't had an accident since 1984. Which, coincidentally, is the year I traded in my Crotch Rocket for a Cruiser. It's unfortunate, but people just don't see you out there. You have to be extremely vigilant and defensive.0
