I have been obese all my life and I want to change that. I have finally found the courage to do something about it and I need help. I have lost 17 pounds so far and would like to lose another 135. yeah, you read that right 135 to go. My problem is my back. The weight I have lost so far is all been through diet. Exercise is difficult. I have multiple back problems and I cannot walk much, let alone do cardio. I stopped with the steroid injections and pain meds the docs were giving me because they were aiding in my weight problems. I found a low mobility workout I have been doing on you tube that seems to be helping. I can stand and walk a bit longer. I use the bands and light weights. I have only done this four or five times, but I enjoy it and can almost make it all the way through now. This simple workout won't do forever though. Suggestions?

I lost 70lbs a few years ago 30 of which was through diet only. The biggest thing that made a difference wasn't what I ate it was the portion size. I bought a good set of measuring cups and used them instead of those big plastic spoons to serve me food. When I told my wife about using them she was skeptical. We were both using this app and tracking food but didn't notice a change so I had her serve herself with a regular serving spoon and then checked to amounts compared the what was being added. Most things were 2-3 time more then we were adding because we had no idea what 1 cup of rice or cereal looked like. Once we adjusted serving size to reflect what we were counting the weight started to come off a lot easier. Hopefully once you get down some weight your pain will decrease in your back since one is linked to the other. I'm back up again and one of the first sign of weight gain for me is back pain.
