So this morning I went for my first "real" run of the summer (I know, late start, I have been putting it off) Unfortunately my i-pod playlist sounded like last summers top 40 list.
I need to update my i-pod before my next run and need some ideas
What do you guys listen to? Any specific songs give you a little extra skip in your step?

some nutter mumbling behind me......................................
oh sorry, you mean the gym, i found the foo fighters give me a burst of energy for the end of my run, if im trying to make a time, but i like my dance music, the beat helps keep my rhythm.........
good luck with it0 -
But then I listen to classic rock too........0

If and when I do run hard, I tend to listen to rock. 30 Seconds to Mars, Sevendust, Prodigy, System of a Down, Drowning Pool....all keep me going. lol I think it helps to have someone screaming at me to do my best and break through my confort zone. But when I am not doing anything too difficult and am just out for a nice jog, I'll listen to pop like Kesha, or hip hop like Chris Brown, and techno/trance/dubstep. But most of the techno stuff I reserve for hoop dancing.0

One song I just discovered that really gets me moving is the Adele/RASCAL remix of "Rumor Has It". Love it!0
-
Two songs I love to listen to while running are; Dog Days Are Over by Florence And The Machine, and Paper Planes by M.I.A.
Hope this helps.....let me know what you think.0 -
Thanks for the ideas! I really do like everything. It's weird cause sometimes if I'm running really early in the morning and the streets are empty I like to listen to country. Other times I like stuff like Rihanna or Black Eyed Peas..then when I'm going really hard core I like stuff like disturbed and marilyn manson lol. Guess it depends on the day and mood0
