Before I weigh in I just want to say: to those of you who don't lose every week or only lose 1 lb or less...DON'T GIVE UP! Weight loss is not linear.
For me, I'll barely lose 1 lb for several weeks and then suddenly I'll lose 3-4 in one week. That's just how my body works.
I just keep telling myself I'm losing, it just hasn't caught up with me yet.
And if you keep working hard IT WILL come off.
Good work to everyone for almost one month of hard work!

So... I've lost 8 pounds. Not a lot, but enough to make my weight "two-thirty something." I've been "two-forty something" so long that it's part of my inner description. Being 230-ish is odd. It's a good odd, but it's odd. I need to insure that as I lose weight, I remember to readjust my mental image. Every time I lose weight..THIS is my new normal. 240+ pounds is NOT my normal. What I'm doing now is not deviating from normal. What I'm going today IS now the norm.
For me, this this seems to be more than half about the mental and less than half about calories and carbs. It seems to be as much about changing my mental image as resisting urges.
I'm saying nothing that all hasn't been said before. I'm just saying it because I need to say it.
Thanks for the platform. I'll see you next Sunday, and I'll have a new "normal."
