Quietly celebrating

I've officially lost 5 lbs! That's a very small dent in my goal, and it took an entire month, but I want to move very slow. My husband has a hard time with me losing weight, so I'm trying to do it without making it too obvious. lol Ease him into it.
Mostly though, I wanted to say how inspired I am by all of the stories posted here. Keep motivating the rest of us!

Why would your husband have a problem with you losing weight? Congrats on your success, but I hope that your partner can support your goals, because that can help you immensely or hinder your success. Keep up the good work!3

Congrats on the initial success. Even though your husband has issues with you losing weight I don't understand why personally, you have to do this for yourself.

Great job! And he should support you on all things positive! Losing weight is positive in so many ways. Good luck on your journey. Do this for you.

Sometimes husbands get a little insecure when their mate starts loosing weight. I can't tell you how many friends have told me their husband sabotages their weight loss goals.
Reassure him you love him and all that fun stuff.4 -
That's a great start! Keep it going!

Thank you. I appreciate the support!
My hubs really is the best, but whenever I start losing weight he starts buying more sweets. He doesn't realize it until I point it out though, so he tries to be supportive.

Beware of the sabotaging husband. For a while…if you don't talk about dieting or eating right he won't notice and trip you up. Of course at some point he will notice, especially if other people point it out..which they will. . and that's when he will put tempting food in path…then you might have to move onto a serious discussion.3

Yeah - mine use to do the same thing...
He has always acted like there was a herd of handsome men waiting by the sidelines to steal me away - which is, of course, HYSTERICAL, when you consider that I have weighed 275 lbs for the last decade and most men don't even LOOK at women of that size - much less try to steal them from their husbands.... and I weighed even MORE before that.
I don't know what happened - but recently - DH has joined me in the "getting healthy" vein. I guess he figures if he goes with me to the gym, nobody will get the chance to steal me... LOL.
Whatever works.2
