Hi folks,

I'm looking for a good recipe for homemade protein bar. Most of the ones I know require a lot of peanut butter and therefore are high in fat and calories. What I'm looking for is:
- 200-300 kCal range
- 30-40g protein
- less than 20g of carbs
- less than 10g of fat

Any ideas please?

I make my own protein bars, and 30 - 40 grams of protein in a homemade bar is very hard to do. You might want to lower the requirements for the macros and calories.

Pinterest does have some things you may want to look through.

Another member posted this recipe. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds good. Just sub the peanut butter with PB2.

" in sauce pan combine 1/2 cup preferred milk & 8 tblsp peanut butter & 1 tblsp+ honey. Warm up on low heat to melt & add cinnamon & 1 1/2 cups protein powder of choice (vanilla or chocolate peanut butter are great). Add uncooked oats & mix. Place in waxed 9x9 or other pan & pat firmly & freeze for 20 minutes. Then cut and pre-package servings. Calories and fat can be determined by you by adding any extras such as a handful of raisins & or top with a sprinkle of choc. chips or coconut or dried fruit/nuts/flax seed/chia seeds etc. Options are endless!"

    Thank you Christine,

Sounds good! I'm not sure it would give me the macro split in looking for, but if I play around with the ratios it might work - I'll give it a try!
