My first 7k need advice

So I am doing my first 7k (it's a Denver thing). I plan on walking it, no running or jogging involved. I recently completed a 5 mile easy hike. Yet I am concerned about the distance. And I am not sure what all I should take with me. I don't want to be unprepared, but I don't want to be carrying a bunch of stuff I don't need. I am thinking it will take me 2-2.5 hours.
This is what I think I need to bring:
Water
Sun block
Hat
Maybe some kind of snack...
Any other advice would be helpful too.

That's about it. Music unless you're going to be walking (& chatting) with someone. You'll do fine. Feel free to take a sit break if needed. It may not take you that long, depending on your walking pace.1

Water. Music. Hat. Sunblock (prior to the walk, no need to re-apply for me anyway). I do a 7k or more every Saturday and Sunday, although I do fitness walking (fast walking). It's not terribly different then doing a 5k. With a 5k I don't need to bring extra water unless it's overly hot/sunny/humid that day, but with a 7k I almost always do. I use a hydration belt with two small water bottles for longer than 5k walks. I'll sometimes fill one with BCAA's or electrolytes and the other with just plain water.0

Use sunscreen before. Don't bring it with you. I don't put it on forehead as when you sweat it drips in eyes. Sunglasses as well as hat.
Water as you said and maybe sport beans or a package of sesame snacks for a snack. Have fun!0 -
We've got a 7k and 14k coming up in about 2 weeks. I think it's a "beer state" thing .... lol
I would also recommend getting some kind of body glide to rub on your inner thighs.0 -

A run visor (cap) and sunglasses. Also, bring along a small disposable bottle of water (250ml) to drink just before you start. Apply your sunblock before you leave home.
Are there no water stands or stalls through out the course? If there are, then no need to bring along any water bottle or snacks. Less things for you to carry.
Also, you may need to check with the event organisers if there is a cut-off time. The 10K runs that I've come across usually have a cut of time under 2 hours. If so, your 7K may have to be a brisk walk.
Enjoy your event!

@Triathlete1502 I don't know if they have water stands or not, I will have to check. I don't think there is a time limit. When we signed in they asked our planned on speed so they knew what heat to put you in. I picked over two hours walking with someone.
Thanks everyone.1
