I was doing so well. And then went on that darn vacation over a month ago and it all went to h*ll. What's even worse, well it's also great is that my husband for the first time in our marriage is commited and weighs less than before I even met him.:grumble: This should be a piece of cake since he was alway's who I blamed for my struggles. He doesn't even work out and drops weight! I really really want that piece of cake!!!! Is there any trick's anyone can suggest to surpress my appetite? Going through alot right now my husband will be starting a new job where he will be away 9wks and home 3wks (rotation). So I guess I'm emotionally eating but I don't want to continue with excuses I want to conquer this!

Try increasing your water intake. Whenever you want to munch on something (between meals, or even after a meal) reach for the water bottle.0

Drink lots of water. I also find that herbal teas help. Yogi Tea's Healthy Fasting helps me control my appetite.0

Water has been my go to appetite suppresant... Take up a hobby that requires a lot of attention. Get busy... volunteer in your local area. The biggest thing for me is staying busy otherwise my mind plays tricks on me =/0

Oh man, vacations will do that!!
Let yourself have a treat once in a while -- there are actually some really tasty low calorie treats out there. Zevia soda. Carbolite frozen yogurt (you can find this at some frozen yogurt places, not in stores).
Find what personally motivates you. For me, my main motivation is the ability to inspire and uplift others. So the mantra "if I do this, I will show others that they can, too" works well for me. What motivates you? What gets you excited and eager to achieve something? When you can answer that question, try to find a way to apply this to the way you eat / exercise / take care of yourself.0 -
Most emotional eating, I have found through personal experience, is because you feel emotionally empty, and the fastest, but not very effective way, to fill that void is eating. Try filling the void with friends, family, exercise, pets, work, or whatever as long as it's not food (or alcohol, another diet killer). Also, don't blame yourself for not losing as fast as he is. Women's bodies work differently, so give it time. We're all here for you throughout this weight loss journey, and if you need it, you can seek additional support through other means. Weight loss can suck, but if you persevere, you can, figuratively, move mountains. (Sorry about my philosophical rambling, I do that from time to time)0

Coffee is my best friend! Its perfect for helping keep my appetite at bay...iced, frozen, hot, I love all types of coffee, just make sure that you increase your water intake if you drink coffee it makes you go pee alot....lol:) U can DO THIS!!!0

One trick I use is to keep Real Fruit Bars handy. They are only 45 calories, they cure a sweet tooth, and they make you feel like your actually eating something because they last so long.0
