How many calories do you eat a day?

Do you usually come in under, over, or right on target?
Is it hard for you to meet your goal?
Are you losing weight consistently with your goal?

I always try to come in under.... I never eat back the cals I burn from exercise.. and YES, I've been losing weight consistently and I'm not cutting out carbs, fats, whole food groups/etc!0

My net always averages out each week to exactly what MFP tells me to net. I am exactly on track. I'm fluctuating between 186 and 189 and it's TOM so we'll see. If I reach 185 lbs. in a week, I will be PERFECTLY on target with what MFP promises. It always averages out great for me.
I don't work out yet so I am not compensating for lots of burned calories. My net is 1200.0 -
I try for 1200 net calories. A friend of mine tried 1200 for a while but her doctor told her to try for 1400. She switched to 1400 and lost 40 pounds pretty quickly (working out almost everyday).
I usually am right around 12000 -
When I first started, I was always over. Now I'm consistently under my intake.
I don't know if it was seeing what I ate is what was putting me over.
Hope that helps.0 -
I try to get to my goal but usually a little under and the weight loss fluctuates..i'm sure it will all come off eventually just takes time and effort.0

I eat 1200-1400 Calories a day
I usually burn between 1000-2000 calories a day
I don't usually eat back my work out calories. unless I go way over my fitness goal then I may eat back some.
I have been losing weight consistently
And it hasn't been hard to hit my goals because my competitive nature makes me push to hit them every time0 -
i eat around 2000 & that should have me losing .5 pound a week buuuut clearly i should be eating more if that's the case 'cause i just lost 4 pounds in a week, WHOOP!
i try not to eat back my exercise calories but sometimes i'll eat like half!
other than that, i usually try to meet my goal with a little to spare, like 100 cals.0 -
always over. but I eat alot of fruits and veggies and have still been losing...depends on what you eat that makes you go over. if its a carrot and you are hungry...eat the carrot lol.0

I was normally under by about 200 from exercise and the calories were about 1600, however I've switched to 1200 calories so I have to get that about that much.
If you dip under that or really under any recommendation form a doctor (& it's pretty true for most body types) your body will store all that you eat. It's also a crash diet.0 -
UNDER......I'm set at 1200 but NEVER hit it. I am petite (5 foot even), age 50 and post menopause~ weight does NOT come off me! But I am finally losing SOMEthing each week and am down 15+ pounds so far.
I exercise every day and do not "eat back" calories burned either.
Disclaimer: this is just what I do~ it's not for everyone and it's not the BEST way to do it but it's working for ME (at the moment).......0
