Anyone in the Atlanta area want to run a 5k?

So, I've set a goal of running a 5k this year, but I would love a training partner (or 2...or 3...). I'm in Atlanta, so if anyone's interested, let me know!

    Wish I could join in; but I live way up north of Atlanta.
    When living in Marietta area, I went to Cochran Shoals; great place to jog/run next to the river.

    There are a few clubs in Atlanta that are for running. Atlanta Track Club (I think that's right). They're well known for the Peachtree Road Race (the famous 10K on the 4th of July each year)....they might be able to network you with other runners who run at your pace.

    By the way, congrats on taking up running. I'm procrastinating. Started at 296 lb; now I'm 258/259 lbs; so it's probably a good time for me to get back into it.

    Unfortunately, I'm up north of the city (Marietta/Smyrna area).

    Wish I could but I have a bad knee. I used to play soccer and would run 5mi/day. When I run the weight just falls off.
