My super sweet husband surprised me with a Wii Fit yesterday!!! I was soooo excited!! Well, I was just wondering if anyone has any advice as to the length of time I should do it, or if you have any pointers I could use.
Thanks a lot!!! :flowerforyou:
I think I burned 200 calories laughing at my husband hula-hooping!!!!!

We have a Wii Fit too and I agree my husbad looks hysterical doing the hula hoops. There is a balance one as you get into it where you are a penguin... that is even funnier to watch!
I would use it like a work out and use the time as such. For example if you do 10 minutes of aerobics... that would be the same
Have fun...what a great way to exercise0 -
Hi! I just got a Wii Fit last Sunday! My advice... don't over do it at first. I had to take a few days off because I boxed (one of the higher levels you can unlock) way too much (I spend 25 'game' minutes on boxing alone) and have hurt my back. Hopefully it's not too serious because it's been sore for 2 days now. It's lots of fun, but be careful0

I, too, just got a Wii Fit! I don't really know how many calories I burn while doing it though......it would be quite beneficial for me to know this, though, so I can log it in my exercise diary correctly....:drinker:0

I did the same thing with the hula-hoop the first time. I think I did it 3 or 4 times, and I couldn't move for 3 days. :laugh:0 -
I love my wii fit!! I try to do at least 30 min a day but my personal goal is 45-60 minutes. I love the boxing, it really gets your heart pumping! The aerobics are great too! I would start out doing a few minutes on each exercise and build up from there.

Thanks for all your advice!!!! I love workouts that are fun!! :flowerforyou:
Haven't unlocked the boxing, but the stepping exercise is a favorite!! :bigsmile:0 -
When you get really into it (making sure that you match lower body movement with exhaggerated, controlled upper body movement) you can burn about 700 calories in an hour. That's what my polar f11 told me anyways
I reccomend you try to get into it. It may look silly, but bop with the music, use your arms, and don't shy from the running, step, hoola hoop, and boxing (when you unlock it).0
