Every day is the same problem- because the work I do burns off tremendous calories (landscaping/gardening), I have way too many calories left over - I eat well but hate the stuffed feeling. Usually my calories cannot be met at the end of the day ..

I have no idea what you usually eat, but with that many calories left if you eat any "diet" food stop doing that and eat your calories with normal food. Nuts will kick up your calories and will help get up the good fat levels, as will using olive oil in salad dressings.

Do you have your calorie goal set as a highly active lifestyle? If so ... that should include your job and then you only have to eat the calories given to you. Does that make sense?

Otherwise, I would just try to eat more calorie rich foods like nuts and beans... among other things. There are whole lists of them in places.

    Good luck!

If you're not hungry, don't eat. Slow down the exercise a bit, perhaps? Sometimes, your muscles need some rest.

I'd bump up you activity level so you don't log work cals burned, and it should help with that!

As it is your job and you always do it every day burning tons on cals, set you're lifestyle to "very active" and only record designated workouts. That will up your daily cals but not as much as it would by recording it as exercise. It should also make it easier for you get used to eating more :-)

To get more calories in your diet without feeling more full, try calorie dense foods such as nuts which are high in cals and good fats and you only need a handful. Also, add slightly more to eat meal throughout the day if you know it's a busy day so that you don't have loads leftover at night.

Shoot ... Go drinking. A pitcher of margaritas will take care of those calories. :drinker:

Or you could go with a protein shake or two, not very filling, but will up your caloric intake a bit and give your body some extra protein for muscle building and toning up! Good luck!

I do eat normal healthy food - and thank you for the suggestion of setting the active lifestyle calculator. I will do that. As for alcohol, I choose not to drink it ever - it absolutely does not agree with me. Thanks for the great suggestions everyone
